Living donation reimbursements
Here you will find information about the reimbursement of expenses you incur when you donate a kidney or part of your liver. Most of the expenses you incur are reimbursed.
Medical expenses
Your health insurer reimburses medical expenses related to the kidney or liver donation, such as examinations, the surgery, and check-ups. There is no statutory deductible.
Expense allowance via NTS
Do you incur expenses during the process for things such as childcare or hiring domestic help? You can receive a reimbursement for these expenses via the NTS.
Retention of income
If you are temporarily unable to work as a result of the donation, you can apply for a reimbursement for your lost income. This applies to both employed positions and the self-employed.
