The Netherlands to host the European Transplant Games in 2026

In June 2026, the Netherlands will host the European Transplant Games, which will take place in Arnhem. During this international sporting and social event, transplant recipients, donors, and professionals will come together. They will compete in fifteen different sports and demonstrate what is possible after a transplant.
The games are not only about sports but also about vitality, connection, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle after a transplant. Based on this conviction, the NTS wholeheartedly supports the games.
It promises to be a varied and inspiring week. The theme Celebrate life runs like a common thread through the program. In addition to the competitions, there are special events, including the impressive Circle of Life. A ceremony in which recipients and donor families come together to honor the donors who made new life possible. More information about this can be found on the ETG website.
