Organization & Governance

Naomi Nathan (1967) has been the director of the NTS since February 1, 2023. Prior to that, she worked at Haaglanden Medical Center (HMC), where she had been the director of the HMC Cancer Center since 2018 and also led the renovation and harmonization of mother and child care as a cluster manager. In this and previous work as a project manager at Erasmus MC and as a consultant and interim director, she gained extensive experience in the (re)design and optimization of care processes and the establishment of care networks. She is trained as a technical physicist and also has a business background.

Robin Kleijwegt (1972) has been the Information Provision manager at the NTS since 2019. With his department, he utilizes ICT and data to ensure a well-functioning donation and transplantation process. This includes developing and managing applications and dashboards that are crucial to the transplantation process, such as systems for waiting list management, donor identification, and the allocation of organs and tissues. He has spent almost his entire professional life working at the intersection of healthcare and ICT, including roles as a business analyst, manager, project leader, and security officer. He studied Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Twente.

Eveline van Dieten (1970) has been the manager of the Donor Information, Communication, and Education department at the NTS since 2021. Her department ensures clear information about donation and transplantation, supports the medical field with communication and training, and serves as a point of contact for the media. She has worked in healthcare for over twenty years in the field of communication and public affairs, including at the KNMG doctors' federation, Haaglanden Medical Center, and VVAA/MediRisk.

Joyce Deggens (1962) has been the Policy manager at the NTS since 2023. Previously, she was the director of the College of Healthcare Education, a senior policy advisor at the Netherlands Federation of University Medical Centres, and worked as an ICU nurse and manager in acute care. The Policy team translates social developments, laws and regulations, and medical innovations into clear, actionable policy. We work closely with our partners. This is how we ensure that the Dutch transplantation system remains fair, transparent, and future-proof.

Johan Jansen (1974) has been the Operations manager at the NTS since 2023. His department includes the Organ Center, which supports healthcare professionals 24/7 with donor registration and donation coordination. Previously, he worked for 25 years in various healthcare organizations, including Bernhoven Hospital and the care organization Pleyade. Johan studied Medicine and Business Administration.

Evert Jan Bos (1982) has been the Operations Manager at the NTS since 2023. He leads the Legal Affairs, HR, Finance, Facilities, and Quality teams, which together ensure that all supporting processes surrounding donation and transplantation run smoothly. Previously, he worked at VNU, the Jaarbeurs, and Stichting Health Base.
